1. Who We Are and What This Service Does

These Terms of Service govern your use of MenuMargin, a software platform operated by Epicurean Digital Consultants Ltd, company number 16622200, registered at 30 Durham Road, Wimbledon West, London SW20 0TW. MenuMargin is a menu engineering, costing, optimisation, and design tool built for hospitality businesses.

By accessing or using MenuMargin, you agree to these Terms. If you use the platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to this agreement.

2. Accounts and Your Responsibilities

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login details secure, and ensure that anyone using your account is authorised to do so. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

• You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract.
• You must keep your contact details and billing information up to date.
• You must not share credentials in a way that circumvents plan or seat restrictions.
• You remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of any content you create or publish from the platform.

3. Subscription, Billing, and Payments

MenuMargin offers a free menu scan, a one-off paid Full Menu Audit, and a monthly MenuMargin Pro subscription. The Full Menu Audit is a single payment and does not renew. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the next billing date. Payment processing is provided by Stripe, and your use of billing services is also subject to Stripe's terms and privacy practices.

• Subscription fees are charged in advance for the relevant billing period.
• We may update pricing, but any changes will be communicated before they take effect for your account.
• Failed payments may result in suspension or downgrade of paid functionality.
• Refunds and cancellations are handled in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. AI Features and Important Disclaimer

MenuMargin includes AI-assisted tools that may suggest dish descriptions, pricing guidance, gross profit estimates, allergen predictions, dietary flags, menu insights, and related operational recommendations.

AI outputs are estimates and drafting aids only. All allergen predictions, GP% estimates, pricing suggestions, and menu descriptions must be independently reviewed and verified by you before use. MenuMargin accepts no liability for AI-generated allergen information or any reliance placed on unverified AI output.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that published menus, allergen disclosures, pricing, and customer-facing claims are accurate, lawful, and appropriate for your venue.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the menu content, pricing data, copy, images, and other material you upload or create within MenuMargin. You grant us a limited right to host, process, and display that content only so we can provide the service to you.

Epicurean Digital Consultants Ltd retains ownership of the MenuMargin platform, brand, codebase, templates, interface design, workflows, and AI systems used to power the service. These assets may not be copied, resold, reverse engineered, or repurposed without prior written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the platform or use it in a way that harms MenuMargin, other users, or third parties.

• You must not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or other accounts.
• You must not use bots, scraping tools, or automation to extract platform data without permission.
• You must not use MenuMargin to produce misleading allergen, dietary, or pricing information.
• You must not interfere with service stability, security, or availability.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including for non-payment, security concerns, repeated policy breaches, unlawful activity, or abuse of platform resources. We may also suspend access where continued service creates legal or operational risk.

You may stop using MenuMargin at any time. If you cancel a paid subscription, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we state otherwise in writing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MenuMargin and Epicurean Digital Consultants Ltd will not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or reputational damage.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service will not exceed the amount paid by you to MenuMargin in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the MenuMargin service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
